Keeping in line with the Campus Master Plan, Murphy Group Architects completed a feasibility study that called for a $30 million addition and renovation to WKU’s Academic Complex. Improvements are being split into phases and include expanded classroom, research and learn-lab space; relocated and upgraded offices; improved meeting accommodations; enhanced traditional and non-traditional communal areas for small or large group collaboration; a new auditorium; HVAC upgrades and simplified interdepartmental access.
Technology integration is also critical in order to support innovative and evolving teaching practices, as well as patient simulation / community outreach services. Programs include EMT, CPR, Dental Hygiene, Visually and Hearing Impaired, and a mobile community health clinic.
